Victorian Pine Drop Flap Kitchen Table
A lovely farmhouse table dating from the late 19th Century. It has a thick planked pine top with two leaves, supported by hinged metal flaps. The frame stands on turned legs with a single drawer at one end.
It is a good size, big enough to seat 4-6 comfortably and the leaves make it very versatile with plenty of legroom when the leaves are up.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use and some old marks and knocks on the top surface and around the legs but nothing detrimental and it has developed a lovely patina. There are some old ink stains in the drawers and some signs of historic worm in places which has all been treated as a precaution. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
