Victorian Oak Glazed Dresser
A lovely antique oak dresser dating from the late 19th century. The base has two cupboard doors, each with brass handles, that open to a shelved interior. Above this are two drawers with their original Arts and Crafts style brass handles. The top part of the dresser is set back and has two glazed doors opening to reveal a pale blue painted interior with two generous sized shelves.
It is a good quality piece standing on a plinth base with panelled sides and a very sturdy construction. It comes with its original working keys to the drawers and both cupboards and it splits into two parts for transport.
It is in good original condition throughout and the oak has a lovely warm colour. It has been gently cleaned and polished and has a nice smooth waxed finish. It is not without some signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks and a minor shrinkage split in the panel of one door but no major damages or anything detrimental. There are some signs of historic worm in places which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected it structurally or aesthetically.
