Product Details

A beautiful leather library chair dating from the mid 19th Century. It is a good comfortable chair with a mahogany fame and a deep overstuffed seat. It has a curved upholstered top rail supported by two stylised carved brackets. It stands on bulbous turned and reeded front legs with its original ceramic castors. It has been upholstered in a good quality tan leather with brass studded edges and a buttoned back. The leather is in very good condition with a lovely patina.

The chair is in good condition for its age. There are some signs of age and use, some knocks and marks here and there but no major damages or anything detrimental. There have been a couple of repairs carried out over the years but the chair is structurally sound with a sturdy frame and it displays well.

It is approximately 29" (74cm) high and 27" (69cm) deep. It is 28" (71cm) wide across the outside of the arms. The seat is approximately 17" (43cm) high.
