​Regency Mahogany Chest of Drawers

A lovely mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. There are two short over three long drawers, each with the original turned knobs and blue penny paper linings. The chest stands on bracket feet with a shaped apron.

It is in good condition for its age and it has a lovely colour and patina. There are of course some signs of wear and use, some minor marks and knocks and there have been some repairs to chips in the veneer around the drawers and some repairs to the legs but it is strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside with a few minor marks and stains on the linings. The chest has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
