A large mahogany chest of drawers dating from the mid 19th Century. It has two short over four long drawers, each with their original turned wooden knobs and it stands on bracket feet. It is a very good quality piece with oak lined drawers and wonderful rich timbers.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of age and use, some minor knocks and small marks, a chip to the back of one knob and a few small chips to the beading around the drawers but nothing detrimental or untoward and the whole piece has a lovely patina. The chest has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
