A large mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early to mid 19th Century. It has two short over four long drawers, each with brass swan neck handles and inlaid bone diamond shaped escutcheons. The handles are not original and have been changed at some point but suit the piece well. The chest stands on bracket feet.
It is very good quality and in good condition for its age. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks and a couple of small chips around the base but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
