Georgian Provincial Oak Table
A charming country oak table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has a nice planked top with applied edging and it stands on square chamfered legs. It has a single drawer with a brass plate handle. It is a good large size, suitable for a side table but also big enough for a small writing desk or dining table.
It is in good original condition and the oak has a lovely patina. It is strong and sturdy and the drawer opens smoothly. There are some signs of age and use, some old marks and knocks here and there but nothing detrimental or untoward. There are some signs of historic worm in the legs which has all been treated as a precaution. The table has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
