A good antique stripped pine blanket box dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The box has metal carrying handles and it stands on small bracket feet. The pine has got a lovely warm colour and the interior is painted in a nice blue/green colour.
The box is a good size for a coffee table, end of bed storage or toy trunk and it is well made with lovely dovetail joints.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It is strong and sturdy and generally clean and tidy inside. There are some signs of age and use, some general knocks and light marks but nothing detrimental. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
