A large French Oak Notaires Cabinet dating from the early 20th Century. It has an arrangement of 24 cupboards, each with turned wooden knobs and it stands on a plinth base. It is a good quality piece that would suit a variety of uses.
It is in good condition for its age. Some of the knobs on the cupboards have been changed and the doors have had name plaques removed at some point but it still displays well. There are some signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks here and there and there have been some repairs and restorations over the years but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
