Victorian Walnut Library Writing Table
A beautiful example of a Victorian library table dating from the mid to late 19th Century. The table has an inset tooled leather writing surface with a carved gadrooned border over two flush frieze drawers. It stands on bulbous spiral turned columns, joined by a turned stretcher with bun feet and castors below.
It is an excellent quality piece and is beautifully finished on all four sides of the table, making it suitable as a centre table or side table.
It is in good condition for its age and it has a lovely patina with a rich colour. There are some signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks here and there but nothing untoward and it is strong and sturdy. There are some minor marks and signs of wear on the leather surface but no major damages. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
