A beautiful walnut tea caddy dating from the late 19th Century. It has a domed top with two bands of inlaid tunbridge style marquetry decoration. It is a good quality piece with a lovely rich patina and it comes with a working key. Inside it has two lidded compartments with small wooden knobs.
It is in good condition for its age and has been very well made and well looked after. There are some signs of age and use, a few minor marks and knocks and a small chip on one corner but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
