A good quality Victorian chess table dating from the mid to late 19th Century. It has a beautiful walnut lobe shaped top with an inlaid chess board. It has a bulbous support set on tripod splayed legs with nicely carved detail and scrolling feet. The table has a lovely rich colour and is strong and sturdy with a good level top.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some signs of age and use, a few small surface marks and light knocks but nothing detrimental and there are no major damages. It has been gently polished and is ready for use.
