A very nice example of a Victorian wall mounted thermometer by T.A.Reynolds & Co London. The glass mercury thermometer is mounted to a brass plate with an engraved Fahrenheit scale and this is displayed on a nicely shaped piece of mahogany with a moulded edge and overhanging top.
It is in good condition for its age. There is some tarnishing and the brass has been lightly polished to retain its natural aged patina. There are some small marks and knocks and a small chip to the top of the mahogany plinth but nothing detrimental and it displays very nicely. It appears to be accurate and in working order.
