Product Details
A superb example of a Victorian stuffed and mounted Badger head. He has been well preserved and skilfully mounted on an oak shield. He has a snarling, alert expression with an open mouth and bright eyes. He is not a modern piece and is a genuine hunting trophy from the Axe Vale Badger Hounds and the front is dated 18/6/99. There is further information on the paper on the reverse of the shield.
He is in good condition for his age. His teeth and mouth have been beautifully modelled and are in good condition. His fur is generally thick and has retained a good colour. There are some patches underneath his chin that have worn thin (see photos) but overall the condition is good. His eyes are bright and his ears are also in good condition.
