A good quality Victorian Sterling Silver vase. It is stylish and good quality with a cylindrical tapering form on a circular foot with a flared wavy rim. The vase is decorated with pretty repousse patterns around shield shaped cartouches and scrolling motifs around the base.
It is hallmarked for London, 1895 and the maker Mappin & Webb. The vase weighs 109g but the base is slightly weighted from the inside.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some minor signs of age and use and some small dinks around the foot but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
