A fine example of a solid silver sugar basket. It has a swing handle and stands on an oval foot. The basket itself is beautifully shaped and decorated with an engraved floral border.
It is excellent quality and weighs approximately 241g. It is clearly hallmarked for Chester, 1895, and the makers G.Nathan & R.Hayes.
It is in excellent condition for its age. There are a few minor marks, some light surface scratches and a small dink on the foot but no major damages and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
