Product Details

A lovely Victorian silver salver of circular form with a raised lip and beaded border. The surface is embellished with an outer engraved border and a central cartouche and it stands on three lions paw feet.

The hallmark has worn over time and is hard to distinguish however the lion passant can be seen as can the leopards head for London and the young Queen Victoria's head which helps to date it. The outline shapes of the stamps puts the salver between 1856 and 1889. It weighs approximately 441g.

It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint marks and some light surface scratches but nothing detrimental. There are some minor dinks and dents but it still displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
