Product Details

A good example of a Victorian hip flask. The main glass bottle has a removable silver base with gilt lining which can double as a drinking cup. The collar and top are also silver and the cap twists to lock in place. It is a good quality piece with some cut faceted detail on the top of the bottle and a nice finish.

Both the top and base are fully hallmarked for London, 1899 and the makers Charles Fox & Co.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are no damages to the glass. There are some minor signs of age and use on the silver, some small surface marks and minor links but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
