A good example of an antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is an elegant Georgian style design with a beautifully shaped handle, round foot and elongated spout. The jug is stylish and good quality and weighs approximately 102g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Sheffield, 1888 and the maker James Deakin & Sons
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and light signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it still displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
