A good example of a solid silver card case. It has a nice curved shape meaning it sits nicely in the palm of your hand. It is beautifully decorated with engraved leaves and foliate around a central cartouche.
The rim and top are both clearly hallmarked for Chester, 1901, Colen Hewer Cheshire and it weighs approximately 38g.
It is in very good condition for its age and the hinge is in good order. There are some small dinks and minor surface marks and general signs of age and use but no major damages and it displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
