A good example of an antique solid silver bowl with beautiful repousse foliate decoration and two vacant cartouches. It has a flared rim and stands on a small pedestal foot. It is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 235g.
It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1901 and the makers Wakeley & Wheeler.
It is in very good condition for its age with no major damages. There are some faint surface marks, minor dinks and some light scratches and tarnish inside the bowl but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and displays beautifully.
