Product Details

A lovely rosewood tabletop correspondence box dating from the late 19th Century. It has two letter slots on the top beside mother of pearl inlaid labels "Unanswered" and "Answered". It also has further inlaid mother of pearl decorative panels. The interior is divided into two sections to correspond with the different slots.

It is in good original condition and the rosewood has developed a lovely patina. There are some general signs of age and use, a small chip on one edge and some small areas of inlay missing but overall it displays well. It does not come with a key. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
