A good example of a large antique pine dresser with plate rack. The base has two drawers above two large cupboards with a shelved interior. The drawers have brass plate handles which, although they aren't original, suit the piece well. The plate rack has three open shelves with strips to support the plates and brass hooks.
It is a good quality piece and the pine has mellowed to a lovely warm colour with a pleasant patina.
It is in good condition throughout and it has a nice smooth waxed finish. The drawers open well and it is generally clean and tidy inside. It is not without some signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks but no major damages. There have been some historic repairs over the years and there are signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
