Provenance West Ham Free Picture Exhibition Easter 1898
A very good quality oil on canvas painting of a farmyard scene depicting a young girl and a goat. It dates from the late 19th Century and has a label on the reverse from the West Ham Free Picture Exhibition in 1898. The painting is framed in its original gilt frame with a leaf and berry border and an inset gilt slip.
The painting itself is in very good condition and has been restored at some point in its life. There are some minor signs of age and some light surface marks but nothing detrimental. The frame is in good order with no major damages or losses. It has been repainted at some point but it still displays well. The painting has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
