A good quality and very decorative oil on canvas painting of a distinguished gentleman dating from the mid 19th Century. It is framed in a good quality period birds eye maple frame with a gilt slip.
The painting is in good original condition. There are signs of age, some surface marks and a couple of old repairs but overall it displays well. The frame is in good condition with a couple of small marks and minor losses but nothing detrimental. The painting has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
