A good quality Victorian oak writing desk dating from the late 19th century. It has two drawers, each with wooden knobs and it stands on bulbous turned legs with brass castors. The top has an inset green leather writing surface with gilt tooled edging.
The desk is in very good condition with a lovely rich colour. It is generally clean and tidy throughout and the writing surface is in good order. The drawers open well and the desk moves well on its castors. There are normal signs of light wear and age, some marks around the top and a few odd marks in the drawers but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
