A lovely oak studio easel dating from the late 19th century. It has a H shaped frame and base standing on castors. It has a large shelf with bevel gear mechanism with moves up and down using the detachable winding handle.
It is a very good quality piece designed with function in mind whilst still being an attractively made item. It has been lightly cleaned and polished with a few original paint splatters left which add to its lovely patina.
It is in good condition for its age with no major damages. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks but nothing detrimental. It is missing one of its rear metal support brackets but it is strong and sturdy and it displays well.
It is certainly usable for its original purpose or great to just display a piece of artwork on.
