Victorian Oak Stationery Cabinet
A beautiful oak stationery cabinet dating from the late 19th Century. It has a lovely rich patina and a sloped front with brass escutcheon. The doors opens out to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. Above this is a perpetual calendar with cloth reels for the days, numbers and months which can be turned using the knobs above. There is also a pen tray, a glass inkwell with brass top and an ink bottle. Below this is a large drawer with brass handle.
It is in very good condition for its age. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. There have been a few small repairs here and there but overall it displays well. It does not come with a key. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
