Victorian Mahogany Scroll Arm Carver Chair
A good quality mahogany carver chair dating from the early to mid 19th century. It stands on turned front legs with rear sabre legs and it has large scrolling arms. The seat has been recently recovered in an attractive green leather with a studded border which makes the chair well suited for use as a desk chair.
The chair is in good condition for its age and has a lovely rich patina. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and light knocks but nothing detrimental. There are some signs of historic worm to the underneath which has all been treated as a precaution and the chair is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
