Product Details

A lovely example of a hand made Noah's ark dating from the late 19th Century and most likely originating from Germany. The ark itself has a bow bottom with a pitched roof and sliding side panel to access the inside of the ark. It is painted all over with decorative arched windows and a painted dove on the roof. It comes with a variety of original wooden animals and four wooden people.

It is in good condition for its age. There are some signs of age and use and some small knocks, marks and minor paint loss around the boat and on the animals. There are some small losses on some of the animals but they all stand upright. There are some signs of historic worm in places and particularly in the base but it doesn't seem to have affected it structurally or aesthetically and it displays well.
