Product Details

A good example of a large copper measuring pail or watering can dating from the late 19th century. It has a tall cylindrical body with a shaped handle and spout and swing handle. It is a good quality piece with nice riveted detail and it has an internal measuring scale to 6 quarts (1.5 gallons).

It is in good original condition. There are signs of age and use, some small dents, dinks and surface marks but nothing untoward. There have been a few solder repairs to the handle and spout but there are no major damages, splits or holes and it is water tight. It has been cleaned and lightly polished to retain its aged patina and is ready for use.
