A good example of a large antique copper mixing bowl, especially used for melting chocolate, dating from the early to mid 19th Century. It is good quality example with a rolled rim and two large riveted iron handles.
It is in good original condition and displays well. There is a wonderful old repair to the surface below one handle which adds to the patina and character. There are no major damages, splits or holes. There are signs of age and use, some minor dents, dinks and surface marks but nothing untoward. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
