Victorian Burr Walnut Stationery Cabinet
A good quality stationery cabinet dating from the late 19th Century made from the most beautiful burr walnut. It has a lovely warm patina with a sloped front and brass escutcheon. The doors opens out to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters and there is also a pen tray and a glass inkwell. There is a large drawer at the bottom and the cabinet comes with its original working key.
It is in very good condition for its age. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and use and a few small chips but nothing detrimental. The interior is clean and tidy. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
