A fabulous bamboo book grabber dating from the late 19th century. Perfect for reaching those books from the top shelf of the library! It is a very decorative piece with a long bamboo cane handle and brass mechanical grab at one end with a lever to work it. The ends of the grab are crosshatched to give better grip and the whole piece is very elegant and practical.
It is well made and in good condition for its age. There are normal signs of age and use and some slight wear to the bamboo but no major damages and it is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and is ready for use.
