A nice example of a large Sterling Silver photo frame. It is not terribly old but very good quality.The frame is decorated with an ornate swirling acanthus and foliate design with a blue velvet covered back and an easel design for standing up the frame. The inside board is covered in a blue silk.
It is clearly hallmarked for Sheffield, 1998.
It is in very good condition. There are no major damages and the easel back is in good solid order. There are some light surface marks around the frame but nothing detrimental. The silver has been gently cleaned and polished and the frame is ready for use.
