Small Victorian Silver Cream Jug
A good example of a small Sterling Silver cream jug. It is an elegant design with a squat rounded body, ornate figural handle and pronounced sparrow beak lip. It is ornately decorated in a repousse design of swirls and flowers. The jug is stylish and good quality and weighs approximately 37g.
It is clearly hallmarked on the base for Sheffield, 1894 and the maker Samuel Boyce. It also has some foreign import marks and a '930' stamp.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, minor dinks and light signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
