A good quality Victorian armchair dating from the late 1800s. It has small proportions and is a traditional shape with a buttoned back, deep seat and low arms. It has turned front legs and splayed rear legs terminating in the original brass castors. The legs have been painted in a faux rosewood finish.
The chair is in good condition for its age and is very comfortable. The upholstery is not new but is good quality and suits the chair well. There are a few small marks and stains but overall it displays well. It is perfectly usable as it is or provides a good strong frame for recovering.
