Product Details
A treen water or cider keg dating from the early to mid 19th Century. Formed like a flattened barrel it is made from flat staves of wood bound at the top and bottom. The opening at the top would have been corked and the two small holes would have originally allowed it to be strung and worn around the neck or body.
It is in good condition for its age and is a very tactile piece of treen. The wood has developed a lovely patina with some signs of age and use but no major damages.
