A lovely small tea caddy dating from the late 19th Century. It is made from a beautiful burr wood adorned with an ornate brass panel and matching escutcheon. The lid is lined with a red velvet and the interior has a lidded compartment with an ebonsised finish. It comes with a working key.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks and small losses but no major damages or anything detrimental. The inside is generally clean and tidy although the lining inside the tea compartment has worn. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
