Small Antique Stripped Pine Blanket Box

A good antique pine box dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The pine has got a lovely warm colour and it is a good quality piece with dovetail joints and metal carrying handles on the sides. The interior is generally clean and tidy and it has its original strap hinges.

It is a good size - perfect for a coffee table, end of the bed storage or toy trunk.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some signs of age and use, some general knocks and surface marks, a couple of old repairs but nothing detrimental and no major damages. There are some signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the box structurally or aesthetically. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
