Product Details
A good quality set of 6 Victorian silver salts with matching spoons in their original fitted case. The circular salts have lovely swirled bodies and stand on small bun feet. The spoons have rounded bowls and ball finials. There are remains of the original gilt lining inside the salts and the spoon bowls.
Each piece is individually hallmarked for Birmingham 1883 and the makers Horace Woodward & Co. The total weight of silver is approximately 93g.
Every piece is in very good condition. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few faint surface marks and small dinks but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
The box is good quality with a silk lining and fitted velvet base. There are some minor marks inside the box and a few minor scuffs on the outside but nothing detrimental. The small fabric strips that once held the spoons in place are missing but the spoons sit well inside the dishes instead.
