Set of 4 Victorian Silver Cauldron Salts and Spoons
A good quality set of 4 Victorian silver salts and spoons. The salts are cauldron shaped with a beaded rim and each stands on three tripod splayed legs. The small spoons have round heads and ball finials. The bowls of the spoons and the salts are gilt lined, although some of the gilding has worn.
Each salt is individually hallmarked for Sheffield, 1897 and the maker Mappin & Webb. The spoons have varying different hallmarks but are all sterling silver. The whole set weighs approximately 76g.
Every piece is in very good condition. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few faint surface marks and small dinks but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
