A good set of 4 hoop back dining chairs dating from the early 20th Century. The hoop backs enclose tapering turned spindles and they have lovely shaped elm seats. They stand on ring turned legs joined by H-stretchers.
There is a stamp on the underneath of one seat for "Haines Wycombe".
The chairs stand approximately 34" (86cm) high. The seats are 18" (46cm) deep, 15" (38cm) wide and 17 1/4" (44cm) high.
They are all in good condition with a nice colour and are strong and sturdy with no major damages. There are some minor signs of age and use, some marks and light knocks on the seats and around the legs but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
