A good quality set of 10 oak dining chairs dating from the late 19th Century. They have upright backs with nicely carved details and stand on turned legs joined by stretchers with brass castors on the front legs.
The chairs are very comfortable with upholstered leather seats and upholstered panels on the backs. They have been recently recovered and are in excellent order with studded borders.
The chairs are in very good condition for their age. They have developed a lovely rich colour and patina and display well. There are some signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks here and there but the chairs are strong and sturdy. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
The chairs are a good size and are comfortable to sit in. They are approximately 37" (94cm) high. The seats are 19" (48cm) high to the top of the seat, 18" (46cm) deep and 19 1/4" (49cm) wide.
