A good quality mahogany side table dating from the early 19th Century. It stands on elegant tapering turned legs and has three drawers, each with their original turned knobs. A very versatile piece - perfect for a writing desk or dressing table or also as a hall or side table.
It is in very good condition and is strong and sturdy. The top has been beautifully polished and it has a lovely rich colour and patina. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside with a few old ink stains. There are some minor signs of age and use, some small knocks around the legs and light surface marks but nothing untoward or detrimental. It has been cleaned and is ready for use.
