Product Details

A fine example of an early 19th Century Tea Caddy. It is made from mahogany with a beautiful colour and grain. It stands on four brass ball feet and it has a brass escutcheon and inlaid brass military style handles.

Inside it has two wooden compartments with hinged lids and it comes complete with a cut glass mixing bowl. The box also comes with its original working key.

It is in very good condition for its age. There are some minor signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. The inside is clean and tidy with just a small chip below the lid. The glass bowl is undamaged with a lovely ring to it but it does have a little bit of clouding in the glass around the bottom of the bowl. The linings of the tea compartments have worn over time. The tea caddy has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
