Product Details

A good quality mahogany carver chair dating from the early 19th century. It stands on sabre legs with large scrolling arms and nicely carved detail to the rails. It has a drop-in seat pad which has been recently upholstered and covered in a good quality light gold fabric which compliments the chair.

The chair is in good condition for its age and has a lovely rich patina. It has been well looked after and maintained over the years and as such has a few good old repairs, including a repair to an old split across the top rail but nothing detrimental and the chair is strong and sturdy. There are some historic woodworm holes in the back which have been treated as a precaution and have not affected the chair aesthetically or structurally. The chair has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
