Product Details

A good quality octagonal mahogany table dating from the early 19th Century. It stands on a baluster stem with four splayed legs with brass lions paw caps and castors. The octagonal top has a crossbanded edge with inlaid ebony banding and this banding continues on the legs. The table has one drawer with small brass handles and a brass escutcheon. Each of the eight sides of the table has a matching faux drawer complete with handles.

The table has a lovely rich colour and patina and it is strong and sturdy. It is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are some signs of age and use, a few small surface marks and knocks and there have been some veneer repairs around the drawer but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
