A lovely small mahogany drop-flap work table dating from the early 19th Century. It is set on ring turned legs with its original brass castors. There are two drawers at one end of the table and matching dummy drawers at the opposite end. The drop leaves are supported by small hinged wooden flaps.
It is in good condition for its age and displays very well. It is sturdy and in good order with a nice rich colour. The leaves are flat and easy to put up and the drawers open smoothly. There are some signs of age and use, a small chip over one hinge and a small chip on the back of one handle and some minor marks and knocks here and there but nothing untoward or detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
