A good pair of mahogany hall chairs dating from the mid 19th Century. They have beautifully carved backs with inset carrying handles on the rear. They stand on fluted front legs with sabre splayed rear legs. Both chairs are made from the richest timbers and have a wonderful patina.
They are in very good condition for their age. Both have some old hairline cracks to the seats which is not unusual and they are strong and sturdy. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
The chairs stand approximately 33 1/2" (85cm) high, 19" (48cm) deep and 17" (43cm) wide. The seats are approximately 17" (43cm) high.
